Beverly Ann Christakis, 96, formerly of St. Clairsville Ohio passed away on September 30, 2025, at Greenview Assisted Living in Akron, Ohio.

Born on April 26, 1929, in Bellaire, Ohio, a daughter of the late John E. Shaver and Alta R. Greenwood.

At the age of 96, Beverly leaves behind a legacy defined by commitment to her home and community. Her life was a testament to the quiet strength and nurturing spirit that characterize the heart of a loving household.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Gus Christakis, son Gregory Christakis, brothers; Frederick, Paul, Dale, David, Anthony, and Charles Shaver, sisters; Agnes Addison, Betty Major, Rosemary Long and Rita Planey.

Survivors include, her daughter Virginia (Michael) Burgess of Akron, Ohio, daughter in law, Kelly Christakis, grandchildren; Ryan (Nicole) Burgess, Evan (Ashley) Burgess, Mason Burgess, Jessica and Matthew Christakis, great-grandsons Evan Jr. and Jack Burgess, as well as several nieces and nephews and their families.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation at CARE Funeral Home 204 West Main Street, St. Clairsville on Friday October 3, 2025 from 11am until time of funeral service at 1pm. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling, West Virginia.

Virginia's family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society by going to TMCFunding.com
