Beverly Kluft Cohen, age 93, of Rockville, Maryland passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026.
Beverly was born on March 6, 1932, to Dorothy and Nathan Kluft in Washington, DC. Beverly graduated from Calvin Coolidge High School. Soon after, she married Eddie Boorstein and they had four kids together. Sharon Evans, Steve Boorstein, David Boorstein and Nancy Stevens.
Along the way, Beverly worked as an administrative assistant at Adas Israel Congregation, Dansansky Goldberg, and volunteered, along with Sandy, at Suburban Hospital. They made a sweet team.
While at Adas Israel, Beverly met Sandy Cohen. In 1977, Beverly and Sandy married, which also brought his son Josh Cohen into our lives. They enjoyed 40 years together, including the joy of being grandparents, travel, and time with family and friends.
While Sandy was working at Baltimore Hebrew, Beverly accomplished her goal of becoming an Adult Bat Mitzvah.
Beverly is survived by her five children, seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Beverly was predeceased by her father, Nathan Kluft, her mother, Dorothy Kluft, and her younger brother, Eddie Kluft.
