Beverly Lawon (Vaughn) Gardner, 71, of Columbia, passed away peacefully on October 20th, 2025, surrounded by family.
Beverly was born on August 11th, 1954, in Columbia, Missouri, to the late James and Marjorie (Johnson) Vaughn. She attended Southern Boone County High School and graduated in 1972. Beverly was united in marriage to David Lee Gardner on April 16th, 1983. Through her marriage to David, they had one son, David James (D.J.) Gardner in 1990.
Beverly was employed at Shelter Insurance in the Group and Benefits Management Department until her retirement in 2012.
Outside of her professional life, she found great joy in cooking, baking, and volunteering.
Beverly is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Melissa Gardner of Saint Peters, Missouri; three brothers and two sisters, Meredith Vaughn, Gary Vaughn, Keith Vaughn, Lillian Vaughn, and Racine Vaughn all of Columbia, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Jeanetta Kemp of Columbia, Missouri and two brothers-in-law, Elwood Moore of Warrenton, Missouri, and Ricky Moore of Lawrence, Kansas, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one brother Michael Vaughn, and one brother-in-law Earl Gardner.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 31st, 2025, at Parker-Millard Funeral Chapel from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 1st, 2025 at Log Providence Missionary Baptist Church at 11:00am.
