Beverly was born to Ivan and Lavern Crawford on January 2nd, 1955, in Roswell, New Mexico. At 2 months old Beverly and her family left New Mexico and moved to California.
Beverly loved to sing. She and her Sister Marcie brother Blain would sit around singing while playing their guitars.
When she was 17, she joined a band called "The In Gate" in Hobbs New Mexico where she sang and played at the Cap Rock Lounge.
After meeting Tommy Powell, Beverly moved back to California after she got pregnant with her daughter Rosie. Later on, she met and married Bill Helms where they raised Rosie & then got to be grandparents.
As time went on, Beverly started a janitorial business where she worked for 8 years cleaning restaurants and office buildings.
Even through her busy life, Beverly still found time to sing & do karaoke with her daughter & everyone. She loved old country, She had one of the most amazing voices of all time. Her voice was so beautiful & meaningful. You felt it in your heart.
She had one of the biggest, loyal, caring hearts imaginable & she was always life of the party. Always laughing, having fun & radiating happiness everywhere she went. Unless it came to her daughter or one of her grandchildren. That's a little different story that we will leave out lol. She loved all of her family & growing up with them.
After separating from Bill which still remaining good friends & raising their little Kinley back & 4th. Beverly met the love of her life, Tom T. Her cowboy, whom she spent 20 years together till he & passed.
Right after that she moved in with her granddaughter Erika & her husband Daniel & the kids. They got a home together which was always filled her grandkids & all of her great grandkids. She loved every single one of them,no more, no less. Not to long after that her granddaughter Erika became her fulltime caregiver. In the mist of all that she found Jesus Christ & accepted the Lord into her heart. Amen
She loved her daughter, grandchildren, and great grandchildren where it was nearly impossible to separate from her. They were her life, she was never apart. I think that was her God given purpose was to distill values, love, safety, loyalty, gentleness into her future generations.
