BEVERLY JEAN HENDRICKS, 77, of Grant, passed away Thursday morning, October 9, 2025, at the Perkins County Hospital in Grant, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer.
Beverly was born September 11, 1948, in Fargo, North Dakota, to Bernie M. and Beatrice A. (Grandbois) Ness. She attended Fargo Central High School in Fargo and went on to earn a degree in Home Economics from North Dakota State University.
On October 11, 1974, Beverly married Cecil Wayne Hendricks in Fargo, ND. The couple made their home southwest of Grant, where they farmed and operated a feedlot. Beverly devoted herself to her home and family and especially cherished time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and spending time at the family lake cabin in Minnesota.
She was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Wayne Hendricks; her parents; and her sisters, Benetta Ness and Bonnie Hall.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Cecil of Grant; son, Ryan Hendricks of Torrington, WY; daughter, Shawnda (Nathan) Ducker of Grant; grandchildren, Carter, Avery, and Reese Hendricks, all of Torrington, WY; siblings, Bernie Ness (Rhonda Johnson) of Fargo, ND, and Barbara Ness of Eagan, MN; brothers-in-law, Tim Hendricks of Grant, NE, and Walter Hall of Owego, NY; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in Grant, with Fr. Bush as celebrant. The Rosary will be recited at 1:30 p.m. prior to Mass. Interment will be in the Grant Fairview Cemetery at a later date.
A memorial has been established in Beverly's memory to Boys Town. Condolences may be shared at bullocklongfuneralhome.com, where the Mass will be streamed live.
