Beverly Joan Herrington

Beverly Herrington, aged 88, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.
She was born on October 25, 1935 to Alva “Jack” Poff and Clara Poff (Spaulding). Her childhood was filled with the love of her ten siblings and country living.
She married the love of her life, Jim, July 21, 1956 and together they had five children whom she loved, guaranteeing they would have everything they needed without question. Her life was filled with books, game shows, cooking (her love language), and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a beloved mother, ensuring her family was always in church and learned about Jesus, all coming to love Him as much as she always did. Despite raising five children of her own, she still found time to teach Sunday school and babysit many other children sharing her love and care with them all.
She is survived by her sons, James Curtis Herrington, Brian Herrington (Teresa), and Doug Herrington (Kimberly); her daughter, Stephanie Bartlett (Nathan); grandchildren, Lori Weed (Derek), Joshua Herrington (Stephanie), Justin Bartlett (Kelsey), Ian Bartlett (Macaira), Haley Bartlett (fiancé Sean Vogler), Emily Herrington, James Malachi Herrington, Hannah Herrington; and great grandchildren, Ezra, Juliette, Calvin, and Maren Weed, and Evelyn and James Scott Herrington; siblings, Samuel Richard Poff, Charlene Grafe, and siblings-in-law, Thelma Upman (Thomas), Shirley Herrington, Esther Thompson, many loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and family friends Andy Prouse and Bill and Marty Dunbar.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Herrington and son, Phillip Herrington. As well as her siblings Geneva Smith, Martha Garwood, Maxine Mitchell, Mary Lansaw, Christina Brownfield, Rose Brandonburg, Delores Laubert, and Jackie Poff.
Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Howard Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Dunlap Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, July 27, 2024 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the funeral home.
