Beverly Ann Kennedy

Beverly Kennedy, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026, at the Birches of Newtown. She was 85 years old, and her life was a testament to quiet strength, devotion, and the joy she found in caring for others.

Born on August 31, 1940, in West Wheat Field Township, Indiana County, Pennsylvania, Beverly was the cherished daughter of Alice and Dwight Hood. She grew up surrounded by the love of her family and carried that spirit of generosity throughout her life. She was predeceased by her brothers David and Stephan, and her sister Janice, whose memories remained close to her heart.

On May 20, 1960, Beverly married the love of her life, Eugene Kennedy, in Freeport, Pennsylvania. Together they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unwavering commitment. Their partnership was the foundation of a family that grew to be Beverly's greatest pride.

She is survived by her five children-Keith, Lea, Karen, Barbara, and Kelly-each of whom carries forward her compassion, resilience, and love. Beverly was a devoted grandmother to nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren, and she was predeceased by one grandchild whom she held in her heart always.

Beverly dedicated more than 30 years of her life to Pathmark, retiring in 2003. Her work ethic, kindness, and steady presence made her a valued colleague and friend to many. In retirement, Beverly embraced the hobbies that brought her joy and allowed her to give back. She was a talented crafter, creating beautiful quilts for the Quilts for Kids organization-each one stitched with care and meant to comfort a child in need. She also loved to explore the world, traveling to Ireland, Italy, London, and France, and enjoying memorable cruises to Alaska and along the Mississippi River. These adventures reflected her curiosity and her appreciation for life's beauty.

Above all, Beverly will be remembered for her gentle heart, her devotion to family, and the quiet but powerful ways she made the world better. Her legacy lives on in the generations she nurtured, the quilts she lovingly crafted, and the countless lives she touched.

Family and friends are invited to greet the family on March 9th from 2pm-4pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road, Richboro, PA. Interment will take place on March 11th at 10am at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
