Beverly Joan Lacy Winchester Boyd, 84, passed away Friday, September 19, 2025, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. She was born August 5, 1941, the daughter of Robert and Stella Talkington Lacy. Beverly married Donald Edward Winchester on December 22, 1957, in White Hall and he preceded her in death on January 14, 2014. She later married Daniel Boyd, and he survives.
She is survived by her sons, Terry (wife, Bernadette) Winchester, Dan Winchester; grandchildren, Jacob and Katie Winchester; one brother, Richard Lacy, and husband Daniel Boyd.
She is preceded in death by both her parents; late husband, Donald Winchester; one son David Winchester; and one sister Doris Harney.
Beverly worked many years as an editor at the Roodhouse Record, Mobil Chemical, and retired from Doyle Auction House in Springfield. She loved to cook, travel, sing, read sci-fi books, attend auctions, and later in life became an avid St. Louis Cardinals Baseball fan.
A Celebration of life will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. September 23, 2025, at Hamiltons located at 110 N. East St. in Jacksonville. Memorials are suggested to an Animal Protective League in your area. Williamson Funeral Home in Jacksonville is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be left online at www.airsman-hires.com.
