Today Casey, Bev's daughter, posted photos and videos of her mom on her social media. One video of Bev laughing as she walked into her car, was pure joy. Her laughs had varied sounds, and always were lucid and bold.

My mom, Beverly Leighton her heart was the most pure thing her patience, her understanding the way her Eyes light lit up Her sparkling smile could light up the darkest moments. She was always supportive of anybody and everybody she cared for everybody. She wanted the best and the best for all the people that she´s been able to positively affect she loved helping her special-needs class and other people she loved laughing and listening to great music she loved cooking that was one of her biggest love languages. She loved going out on trips with her husband my dad David Leighton going to plays and other shows getting out and seeing the country and beyond, she was my best friend my biggest ally I know she´s proud of all of us and will always be there to help guide us and I will always remember her smile And the way she made me feel my heart, and I am glad and honored to call her my mom.

I was grateful that Bev was a great listener. When I called my brother (Bev's husband), she offered a supportive ear. On her deathbed, Bev perked up when I called my brother to see how she was going. And sure enough--she came to life one last time for me!
She had a wonderful sense of humor and great way with children and animals. Those are some of the best qualities anyone could have!
