We are sad to announce the passing of Beverly Dawn McGraw of Gainesboro, Tennessee. Beverly died peacefully on December 8th, surrounded by her closest family. She lived her life exactly as she wanted -- living independently and gracefully in her home on top of a mountain. Beverly passed on confident that she was going on to a better place where she will surely be reunited with more loved ones.
Beverly Dawn McGraw was born June 9, 1949 in Hinton, West Virginia and she passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center at the age of 74.
She was the daughter of Arthur Harold McGraw, Jr. and Rozella Taylor McGraw Perry. Mrs. McGraw was a retired RN and attended the Divine Savior Catholic Mission in Celina.
She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her husband, Patrick Stephen Smith who passed away on Nov. 16, 2014.
Survivors include her daughter, Amy Shore of New York, NY; son, Jeff Shore of Melbourne, FL; step children, Mark Smith of Hendersonville, TN, Steven Smith of Toledo, OH and Yvonne Goodwin of Whitehouse, OH; special friend, Shawn Spohn; grandchildren, Sid, Lila, Abbie, Hannah and Olivia; 13 step-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends also survive.
The family has honored her wishes to be cremated and no services are planned.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Genesis House in Cookeville, TN by contacting the funeral home.
