Peggy Crabtree Obituary
Peggy was the daughter of Robert "Bob" Washington Brown and Mildred Opal Burgess Brown. She was of Christian faith. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Peggy was a RN that worked for years throughout the Upper Cumberland area.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Durell Crabtree; brothers: James Verlon Brown and Butch Brown.
Peggy is survived by her sons: Robert Flatt of Gainesboro, TN, Jason (Amanda) Flatt of Gainesboro, TN; daughters: Donna Flowers of Gainesboro, TN, Joanna (Tony) Vaden of Carthage, TN; sister: Robbie (Darrell) Jackson of Gainesboro, TN; grandchildren: Jonathan (Catie) Flowers of Gamaliel, KY, Justin Vaden of Carthage, TN, Amber (Dave) Chodos of Huntsville, AL, Tyler Vaden of Jacksonville, FL, Morgan (Cole) Borders of Westmoreland, TN, Cassidy Flatt of Gainesboro, TN, Jasalin Flatt of Gainesboro, TN, Wyatt Flatt of Gainesboro, TN, Luke Flatt of Gainesboro, TN; great grandchildren: Brantley Flowers, Bethany Flowers, Bryce Flowers, Savannah Chodos, Rone Chodos, Nolan Borders, Ezra Claire Borders, Huck Borders, Walter Borders. Peggy will be deeply missed by her extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 9 am until 11 am in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 11am with Bro. Jimmy Stafford officiating. Upper Cumberland Nurses Honor Guard will provide honor services during the service.
There will be graveside service to begin at 2:30 pm at Springfield Memorial Gardens at 4005 Memorial Blvd Springfield, TN.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Peggy's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital by contacting the business office at (931) 268-1550.
Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
