Beverly Marie Mesh, 87, was born in New Orleans, LA to Wilbur and Vina Laumann. She passed away on September 15, 2024, surrounded by family at her daughter’s home in Gulfport, MS.
Although she was born in New Orleans, Beverly lived her entire life in Lake Charles, LA. She graduated from Saint Charles Academy then married Richard Mesh who graduated from Landry High. She began her working career at the phone company, where she worked with her life-long friend, Betty Harmon. Over thirty years, Bev managed office operations for their businesses, Plastic Repairs and Mesh Plastics.
Bev was a faithful woman who loved her family and friends. She demonstrated this during her life through sincere and heartfelt kindness. Her children, family and friends knew they could talk with her about any issues facing them in their lives.
She enjoyed traveling with Richard, caring for her family, daily phone calls with her sisters, baking for neighbors and friends, tending to her garden, completing needlework projects, and making sure that anyone who visited her home was welcomed and comfortable.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Vina and Wilbur Laumann; her husband, Richard Mesh and her daughter, Richarda “Rikki” Mesh.
She is survived by her three children; Lisa Mesh of Santa Clara, CA; Tiffany Mesh of Gulfport, MS, and Doug Mesh of Austin TX; her grandchildren, Mary Miller and Taylor Miller and her great-grandson Skylar Miller. She is also survived by her two loving sisters and their husbands, Betty and Albert Ellender of Lake Charles and Brenda and Michael Mouhot of Kinder.
The family would especially like to thank Mary Jane Guillory, who was Beverly’s friend, caregiver and companion during her last years.
Donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Beverly was a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Parish. She will have a private family ceremony in Lake Charles, LA. Burial will be at Consolata Cemetery at a later date.
Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home, O’Neal Road, Gulfport, is honored to serve the family of Beverly Mesh.
