Rikki Mesh

Richarda “Rikki” Mesh, 61, of Lake Charles, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024, at a Lafayette hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Lake Charles, Rikki was born on January 18, 1963 to Richard and Beverly Mesh. 

Rikki was a creative and multi-talented woman who used her skills in many different occupations. She loved showcasing her artistic talents and people skills by working as floral designer and delivery driver at Daisy A Day flower shop. She made and sold her crafted items at local shows. 

Rikki enjoyed nature. She was an avid fisher woman and crabber. She was also a world class beachcomber who scanned nearby beaches in search of materials for her many crafts. 

She influenced many lives. She loved deeply and gave freely to others. This continued through hospital stays. In her best last days, she played music in her hospital room and shared stories and jokes with the doctors and nurses who were helping her. 

Rikki will be missed. Those left to cherish her memory are her mother Beverly Mesh, partner Angela Newingham, sisters Lisa Mesh and Tiffany Miller, and brother Doug Mesh.

She was preceded in death by her father Richard Mesh.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 5:00PM until 8:00PM with a Memorial Service to celebrate her life at 6:00PM at Johnson Funeral Home, 4321 Lake St. Lake Charles, LA. 70605. The family has entrusted cremation arrangements to Johnson Funeral Home.
