Beverly Danielson Milsted, 72, of
Pensacola, Florida; passed away, at home, with friends and family by her side, on Thursday, June 27, 2024.
She was born December 20, 1951, to the late Norman L. "Swede" and Myrtle Mae Danielson. Being the daughter of a Navy veteran father, working mother; and sister to two brothers – 1 older, and 1 younger; she not only learned how to take jokes and roll with the punches; but also, how to be strong, independent, work hard, and care for others. After graduating from Pensacola High School in 1969, Beverly worked for local financial institutions and had an in-home child-care business. She then joined her dad in the funeral business he founded – Faith Chapel Funeral Home; she worked alongside him and her brothers, later becoming co-owner and operator.
Beverly was the beloved wife of David W. Milsted, for 53 years. A much loved and appreciated mother to three: Tonya Perreyclear (Milsted) and son-in-law, Will; Shane Milsted and daughter-in-law, Kim; and Danielle Austin (Milsted) and son-in-law, Stephen. A Mother figure to her great nephew, Brandon Danielson. A cherished "Grammy" of nine, and a "Great Grammy" of four. She is the daughter of the late N.L. "Swede" and Myrtle Mae Danielson. Dear sister of Ray Danielson and sister-in-law, Teri and the late Lamar Danielson. Dear brother-in-law, Father Gordon Milsted and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ellen and Lenn Contonrino. She will also be remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
Beverly lived a full life as a nurturing mother, devoted wife, daughter and sister, and genuine friend. She was a "do-er". Everyone knew who to ask if they wanted something done because Beverly would do it with perfection and without hesitation! She had active roles in her church, the Basilica of St. Michael the Archangel serving on various committees, she volunteered at her children's and grandchildren's schools and was everyone's biggest support.
She had a love for serving others and making them happy, whether it be through her delicious cooking and baking, or by her exquisite eye for decorating. Her passion to give and do for others is what brought her the most joy. She enjoyed shopping (especially shoes & purses) singing in the church choir, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Beverly was a rare combination of a strong woman with a gentle heart and a firm understanding of what was important – living a life of faith with those you love! Most of all, she loved her family and instilled in her children, strong values, and faith. She will be dearly missed and live on forever in our hearts.
We will celebrate her life with a visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, on Tuesday, July 2nd at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North.
Catholic Mass will be held at 12:10 pm on Wednesday, July 3rd at the Basilica of St. Michael the Archangel. Burial will follow in Gonzalez United Methodist Church Cemetery.
