Beverly and Edward returned to Des Moines and reestablished membership at Wakonda Christian Church and worked in different capacities at American Institute of Business (his Alma Mater). They also enjoyed 18 years serving as House Parents for Merk and Dalton Halls. Bev also served as Supervisor for the court reporting transcription department in day time hours, until her retirement May 2008.

Preceding her passing were her parents, Clarence and Lou Ann McCowen; her husband Edward A. Moe; and two brothers, Jim of Coin, IA, and John McCowen of Oakland, IA. Surviving are her three children: Jon, Leisyl, and Jeff. Betty Parman of Maryville, MO, is her only remaining sibling.
