Timothy Moe Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Messinger Mortuaries- Indian School Mortuary on Jan. 28, 2026.
Tim Moe was a devoted educator, beloved family man, and joyful adventurer whose life left a lasting imprint on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

For more than 30 years, Tim served as a passionate elementary school principal, where his love for learning and genuine care for children defined his calling. Long after students left his school, they never forgot him. It was common for Tim to be stopped in public by students, excitedly calling out, "Mr. Moe!" - a greeting that never failed to make him smile. He was always learning himself and deeply committed to helping others grow, believing that curiosity and kindness could change lives.

Tim shared more than 50 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, Karry, whom he often described as his best friend and said he was incredibly lucky to have. Together, they built a life full of laughter, faith, and adventure. Tim and Karry traveled extensively, creating memories in places like Alaska and Australia, and embarking on several unforgettable cross-country RV trips. Tim had a remarkable eye for detail and could recall the smallest things - especially local restaurants and hidden gems - which he delighted in sharing with others.

Family was at the center of Tim's world. He was a proud and loving father to his three children, Ben, Krista, and Kara, and he often reminded them that family was the most important thing in life. He was also deeply close to his extended family, including decades of weekly phone calls with his mom, during which they shared life updates and laughs.

A man of strong faith, Tim was a Christian who loved God and lived his beliefs through kindness, generosity, and love for others. His sense of adventure was contagious - whether hiking (including, for unknown reasons, choosing the month of July multiple times for hiking the Grand Canyon :)), riding his motorcycle on spontaneous day trips, or exploring somewhere new just for the joy of it.

Tim had a lifelong love of cars and motorcycles and genuinely enjoyed the process of buying, selling, and talking about them. He loved music and was an amazing singer, filling rooms with both song and humor. Known for his sharp wit and quirky observations, Tim had a way of making everyday moments memorable and fun.

He was a reader, a thinker, a traveler, a teacher, and a friend. Above all, he was a man who loved deeply and lived fully.

Tim Moe's legacy lives on in the countless students he inspired, the family he cherished, and the many lives he touched with his warmth, faith, humor, and adventurous spirit. He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.

Our deepest sympathy to Karry and Tim's family on his passing. I was in elementary school and high school with Tim and have some great memories! I'm so glad we were able to get together nine years ago for a dinner with some of our other classmates who also winter in Arizona. May he rest in peace.

My sympathies to all of Tim's family. I was a classmate of Tim at Southern Door High in Brussels, Wisconsin and have memories of Tim over our 4 years in school. He was a real athlete and enjoying watching him
As well, he was a member of our band. Rest in peace Tim

Tim was a former student of mine at Southern Door High School. He was an excellent student, always repectful, courteous and sincere. He was an exceptional athlete playing football and leading our wrestling team with his inspiring personality and dedication. A "Champion" in every sence of the word. It was an honor to be a small part of his life.
