Charles Allen Moe, a cherished resident of Fremont, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, February 8th, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on Friday, September 1st, 1944, in Shelby, Michigan, Charles was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend to many.
Charles is survived by his loving children: Steven Moe, Alicia (Jason) Cooley, and Sheryl Moe. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Donna Moe, brother-in-law Alan (Natalie) Akershoek, and numerous nephews. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Lynn Diane Moe, as well as his beloved parents, Archie and Martha (Harjes) Moe, and his siblings.
Charles dedicated many years of service to Howmet, where he was a respected colleague and friend. Beyond his professional life, he was a man of deep faith and commitment. A long-standing member of Hesperia United Methodist Church for over 50 years, he contributed to the community through his involvement and leadership. His passions included walking the Mackinac Bridge every Labor Day, camping, enjoying old antique car shows, hobby farming, and riding his bike through the beautiful Michigan countryside. Charles also found joy and peace in being a hobby farmer.
The family will receive friends during a visitation to be held at Hesperia United Methodist Church in Hesperia, MI, on Friday, February 13th, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A funeral service to honor and celebrate Charles's life will follow immediately at 11:00 am, with a reception to be held at the church at 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Hesperia United Methodist Church, a place that held a special significance in Charles's life. Arrangements have been entrusted to Crandell Funeral Home - Fremont Chapel.
