Carla R. Moe

Carla Rae Moe, 57, of Superior, WI, passed away suddenly Thursday March 05, 2026, peacefully at home in her sleep.

Carla was born to Sandra (Belanger) and Coco Johnson on November 29, 1968, at Memorial Hospital in Superior, WI. She married Karl Moe on May 21, 1988. Carla's career consisted of being a 911 dispatcher for Douglas County WI for over 20 years with a few years of being a jailer before that. After being a dispatcher Carla furthered her education in business management and attained a degree in human services. Carla and her family also ran their own small animal supply business called Superior Rabbits and Equipment for 19 years traveling all over the US and Canada showing rabbits and building amazing friendships. Carla had a passion for helping wherever she could. She loved animals and being in 4-H as a child and later volunteered in the rabbit barn at the fair for many years as a leader for the rabbit project in Douglas County. She spent many years volunteering for Special Olympics and the Great Northern Classic Rodeo as well.

Carla is proceeded in death by her husband Karl Moe, father Coco Johnson and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Carla is survived by her children Ashley (Chris) Smith and Brandon Moe, Mother Sandra Johnson, grandchildren Sativa Smith-Moe, Robert and Serenity Smith, Mike Cook and sister Mary (Mark) Moran and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and people she chose to call family.

Carla was an amazing woman who loved God, her family, and talking to everyone she came in contact with. There will be a service for Carla at Darrow Road Church, 4020 S Darrow Road in Superior, WI on March 14, 2026, visitation will begin at 11 with a service at noon and lunch to follow. All are welcome to come.
