Mrs. Beverly Jane Myrick, 90, of Barbourville, passed away Thursday afternoon, November 6, 2025 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Lany and Nanny Ellen Hembree born to them on December 30, 1934 at Trosper.

Beverly was a devoted homemaker and a faithful member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church. She shared her faith with others and found joy in singing old hymns and reading her Bible. A talented seamstress and an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan, Beverly also loved taking nature walks with her husband, James Myrick, and cherished every moment spent with her family.

On September 3, 1988 she united in marriage with James E. Myrick who preceded her in death on January 26, 2016.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Joe, Starlin and George Hembree, Celia Hamilton and Mary Hamilton Brown.

Survivors include her children, Diane Hamilton and husband, James, of Danese, WV, Terry Hamrick of Melrose, FL, Michael Hamrick of Barbourville, Sherry Hamilton and husband, Malcom, Tony Hamrick and wife, Stephanie and Gregory Hamrick all of Oakhill, WV; stepchildren, Sherry Perry and husband, Mike, of Barbourville and Melissa Hoffman and husband, Bob, of Tuscon, AZ; special caretakers: niece, Barb Bunch and great-nieces, Theresa Hamilton and Stephanie Tallon; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; among other relatives and dear friends who cherish her memory.

Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Sunday, November 9 at 12 Noon with Rev. Garrett Garland officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be her family and friends.

Friends may visit at the funeral home Sunday after 11 A.M. until the funeral hour.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of Bluegrass Care Navigators for the excellent care they provided Beverly.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
