Beverly A. Pasquarello, 87, passed away peacefully at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers on the morning of Thursday, December 22, 2022, with her family by her side. She was the devoted wife of the late Joseph M. Pasquarello of Beverly.
Beverly was born in Salem in 1935, the youngest child of the late Ragnar and Catherine Benson of Beverly. She was a graduate of Beverly High School, class of 1953, and captain of the B.H.S. Girls Basketball team. She received her nursing degree from the Beverly Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1956. She had fond memories of her time at nursing school, where she made many lifelong friendships. Beverly worked as a Registered Nurse at Beverly Hospital for more than 40 years. She was an inspiration to her children, two of whom followed in her medical footsteps to work as a doctor and a nurse at Beverly Hospital, and several granddaughters pursuing careers in nursing and medicine.
Married in 1957, "Beve and Joe" shared more than 60 years of marriage together. They raised four children at their North Beverly home, where they resided for more than 50 years. Beverly was a long-time parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church in Beverly. She was an avid reader, and she loved a good game of cribbage.
She is survived by her four children: David Pasquarello, and his wife Shiyun, of Kennebunk, ME; Diane (Pasquarello) McDermott, and her husband, Thomas, of Beverly; Donald Pasquarello, M.D., and his wife Gerda, of Beverly; and Daniel Pasquarello, Esq., and his wife Amy, of Wenham; twelve grandchildren: Benson (and his wife, Whitney), Elise, and Emilia Pasquarello; Megan (and her husband, Zach Anthony), Sara, and Joseph McDermott; Michael (and his wife Laura), Amy (and her husband, Allen Jorquera), and Donald Pasquarello; and Cate, Abigail, and Hannah Pasquarello; two great-grandchildren: Leo Jorquera and Alden Ragnar Pasquarello; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother, Donald Benson of Duxbury, and her sister, Corinne (Benson) Renaud of Lakeland, FL.
Beverly/Mum/Nana will be remembered most as a role model -- as a shining star for the love she demonstrated throughout her life: of family, of friends, of neighbors, of all she continually welcomed into her home.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church, 111 New Balch Street, Beverly, Saturday, January 7, at 10:00 a.m. Visiting hours at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, Friday, January 6, from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial at St. Mary's Cemetery, Beverly. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Beverly's memory to the Discalced Carmelite Nuns, 15 Mount Carmel Road, Danvers, MA 01923, danverscarmel.com, the American Heart Association, heart.org, or Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan Street, Danvers, MA 01923, caredimensions.org.
