Beverly Pencek Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Howard J. Snowdon Funeral Home on Jan. 23, 2025.
Beverly Ann Pencek, of Scranton, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday morning following an illness.
Born May 24, 1947 in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Adolph and Anne Eberhardt Pencek. She was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School, and prior to her retirement was employed by Consolidated Freightways, formerly Emery Worldwide Freight.
Beverly had a heartfelt passion for crocheting, gardening, and crafting, pouring love and care into everything she created. Her greatest joy, however, was her family, whom she cherished deeply. A gentle soul of unwavering faith and devotion, Beverly touched the lives of all who knew her. She was a lifelong and dedicated member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Scranton where she served with the Lutheran Braille Workers for many years. She will be profoundly missed by her family and church community that she held so close to her heart.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the Traditional Home Health Care and Hospice staff for bringing comfort and happiness to Beverly in her final days.
Surviving is her brother Arthur A. Pencek, and wife Marion of Moscow; her nieces and nephew: Jennifer Kamla, and husband Gregory of Moscow; Jason Pencek and wife Erin of Roaring Brook Twp.; and Kimberly Pencek McHale of Dunmore; great-nieces and nephews: Ashley Kamla Kaneski, and husband Matthew, Samantha Kamla; Anna, Nora, and Lila Pencek; Gavin, Evan and Riley McHale; her great-great nephew: Carson Kaneski; and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Immanuel Lutheran Church, 238 Reese Street, Scranton, PA with Rev. John Zimmerman, pastor as officiating clergy.
Friends are invited to gather at the church Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Interment and committal prayers will be conducted at Evergreen Cemetery, Dickson City, PA.
Memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 238 Reese Street, Scranton, PA 18508
