Barbara R. Green

Barbara R. Green, 82, of Clarks Summit died Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Allied Hospice Inpatient Unit in Scranton following a lengthy illness. She is the widow of Emerson Green who died in 1998.
Born January 30, 1943 in Louisville, KY, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Wesley R. and Dorothy J. (Ross) White. Barbara attended East Stroudsburg University, and prior to her retirement was employed by the Tunkhannock School District.
She was a member of the Clarks Green United Methodist Church; and was a volunteer at the St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen for several years.
Surviving are her daughters: Robin L. Farrar and husband David of Uniondale, PA, and Debra Mercy of Salt Lake City, UT; two grandchildren: Paige Mercy and Blake Mercy; her brother Richard W. White and wife Nancy of Milton, FL; and nephews and cousins.
Barbara was preceded in death by her grandson Cameron Mercy in 2000.
Private services and Interment will be conducted on the family lot at Abington Hills Cemetery, South Abington Twp. PA
