Beverly Pohlmann Obituary
For 30 years, Beverly was the unsung hero of countless lives as a dedicated case worker with the Virginia Department of Social Services. Armed with paperwork and compassion, she navigated the labyrinth of bureaucracy with grace and efficiency, making a tangible difference one file at a time.
A woman of diverse interests, Beverly was an ardent genealogist, always eager to unearth the next branch of the family tree. When she wasn't knee-deep in historical records, she could be found quilting, her stitches weaving tales of warmth and comfort. A steady presence at Providence Friends Church, her faith was an integral part of her journey, guiding her through life's patchwork of experiences.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 44 years, Bernard Udo Pohlmann, she is now reunited with her parents, Thurman Geer and Kathereane Clay Geer, as well as her son, Brent Pohlmann. She joins her sister Andrea Raines, brother David Geer, sister Sandra Geer Harris, and mother-in-law Maria Pohlmann in the great beyond, where we imagine they're all catching up over coffee and heavenly pastries.
Beverly's spirit and stories live on through her surviving family: her son Bert Pohlmann of Virginia Beach, VA, who carries forward her legacy with pride; her nephew Timothy Noel of Jacksonville, FL, and niece Billie Noel Watters of Summerville, SC; and several other nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will forever cherish her wisdom and wit. And let's not forget her lifelong friend Debbie Nelson of Norfolk, VA, who knew Beverly's quirks and loved her all the more for them.
As Beverly embarks on her next journey, may she find joy in the ultimate quilt of life, stitched together by the memories of those she leaves behind.

I worked with Beverly for years in. VA. Beach. She hithe most caring and sincere heart with the work she did with us and the most compassion for all clients and coworkers. She showed the most calm spirit and never let anyone which includes coworkers or clients rattle her. Beverly gave her all and believe in God and took life as a precious gift. Thank you Debbie for allowing her DCSE staff to participate in this moment. I wish I could be there as she was a mentor to me and allowed me to come to her for comfort and advise.
