John Craig Pohlmann

John Craig Pohlmann, 78, passed away December 28, 2025, at Albert B. Chandler Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born April 6, 1947, in Lexington, Kentucky. He graduated from Danville High School and the University of Louisville. He was in the Kentucky National Guard. Craig enlisted in the United States Navy in 1981 and retired in 2005 as a Chief Petty Officer. He enjoyed golf, softball, and watching football and basketball. He was a member of the DAV, American Legion, VFW, and the USGA. He is preceded in death by his parents Edward John Pohlmann and Margaret Pohlmann and his son Kevin Pohlmann.

He is survived by his wife Rebecca Duncan Pohlmann, his sister Kathy (Ron) Kulig, nephew, Michael (Ellen) Sharp, two nieces, Kara (Paul) Brandt and Krista (Michael) Marcum, 3 great-grandnephews, Christian Brandt, Andrew Brandt, and Zachary Marcum, and on great-grandniece Addison Marcum.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 pm on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Stith Funeral Home in Danville. Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm prior to the service. Burial will be be at a later date in Buffalo Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
