Beverly Rorer Obituary

Beverly Allison Rorer, age 80, of Owensboro, Kentucky, formerly of Madisonville, Kentucky, made her transition into eternal rest on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at her home with her daughter by her side.

She was born on June 8, 1945, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, to the late Frank and Juanita Allison. Beverly attended Roosevelt High School before moving to Madisonville, Kentucky, at a young age. It was there that she gave her life to Christ at Zion Temple AME Church, beginning a lifelong journey of faith and service.

Later in life, she met the love of her life, Beau Fred S. Rorer. The two were united in holy matrimony on February 13, 1965. Together, they built a loving home and were blessed with three children. Beverly was a devoted wife and mother who displayed unwavering love and dedication to her family.

She was a proud stay-at-home wife and mother who also poured her heart into her community. Affectionately known as “The Hat Lady,” Beverly was well-loved by many. She volunteered and assisted with PACS and the Salvation Army, and she was a faithful member of the Hoke League Club. Beverly joined the Salvation Army in the 1970s and remained a committed member until her departure, bringing along her children and grandchildren and instilling in them the same spirit of service.

Beverly loved music and dancing, often smiling and joyfully declaring her famous line, “I still got it!” Her vibrant personality, warmth, and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fred D. Rore, Sr.; two sisters, Anita Holland and Frankie Taylor; and two brothers, James Allison and Anthony Allison.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: Emmett J. Allison of Owensboro, Kentucky; Fred D. Rorer, Jr. (Crissy Rorer) of Owensboro, Kentucky; Rosetta Rorer of Owensboro, Kentucky; and stepdaughter Martha Ann Rorer. She also leaves behind 16 grandchildren, 69 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, along with a host of extended family and friends who loved her dearly.

Beverly’s legacy of faith, love, service, and joy will live on through the many lives she touched.
