Beverly R. Schavone, 93, of Meredith, NH passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024, at The Gardens of Meredith Bay Colony Club with her family at her side.
Beverly was born on October 9, 1930, in East Orange, New Jersey, the daughter of Frank and Eugenia Russell. Beverly resided in various places throughout her life including New York, Massachusetts, and Florida, as well as New Hampshire. She was employed for many years at Wellesley College prior to her retirement in 1999.
After retirement, she split her time between her homes in Florida and New Hampshire, playing many rounds of golf. In addition to being an avid golfer, Beverly previously enjoyed candlepin bowling, crossword puzzles, scrabble, card games, and finding new recipes to try.
Beverly is predeceased by her husband, Francis J. Schavone, her son, Michael J. Christy, and her siblings Roger Russell and Judy MacKenzie. She is survived by her children, John Schavone, Michele Thomas (Greg), Darla Brown (Steve Solbo), and Stephanie Sinclair (Donald); grandchildren Ramie, Nicki, Jason, Jonathan, Collins, Andy, Cathy, Don, Lisa and Sarah; 16 great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on August 24th from 10-11 am at John Everett & Sons Funeral Home at 4 Park Street in Natick, Massachusetts followed by a graveside prayer at Dell Park Cemetery in Natick. John Everett & Sons Funeral Home in Natick, MA is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial donations in Beverly's name may be made to: Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or online at act.alz.org or the Lakes Region VNA, 186 Waukewan St., Meredith, NH 03253 or online at lrvna.org.
The family of Beverly would like to thank the Lakes Region VNA hospice team as well as the nurses and staff at The Gardens of Meredith Bay Colony Club for making her last days as comforting and peaceful as possible. The care and compassion they gave Beverly is greatly appreciated.
