Beverly Simpson Obituary
A proud graduate of Chico High, class of 1962, Beverly went on to attend both UC Berkeley and Chico State, earning her teaching degree from Chico State in 1966. She dedicated 36 years of her life to teaching. Her lifelong commitment to her students and colleagues remains one of her greatest legacies.
Beverly found joy in life's simple pleasures-spending time on the golf course, or cheering for her favorite sports teams. She especially enjoyed supporting her grandson's activities and never missed a game, meet, performance, or awards assembly. She will be fondly remembered for her holiday cookies.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Simpson. She will be missed by her children; Cheryl (Jeremy) Coker of Fair Oaks, Donald (Christena) Brockhoff of Plumas Lake, her sister, Patricia Locke of Los Angeles, and her grandchildren; Aiden Coker of San Diego, Brian Coker of Los Angeles, Matthew Brockhoff of Bozeman, MT, and Nathan Brockhoff of Annapolis, MD.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life at The Timber Creek Lodge at Sun City in Roseville on Saturday, November 29 at 5:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Beverly Simpson's memory.
