Dunkirk: Beverly A. Smith, 92, of Dunkirk, died Sunday, August 10, 2025 at Brooks Memorial Hospital, Dunkirk. She was born in the Town of Arkwright on December 14, 1932, the daughter of the late Earl and Gladys (Cardot) White. Beverly was a graduate of Forestville Central School, Class of 1950. She always attended the Forestville Alumni Banquet and had just recently celebrated her 75th anniversary.

At one time she was the Town of Arkwright Clerk. Beverly enjoyed spending summers at their cottage on Bear Lake, baking & crocheting. She loved nature, birds and being with family.

Survivors include a son-in-law Daniel Pleszewski, four grandchildren; Brett (Destiny) St. George, Kristee (John) Trisler, Amy (Tony) Gavazzi & Kellie Smith, four great grandchildren; Kyla St. George, Daniel Trisler, Zevea & Lennox Richter and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Carl Smith, whom she married on December 16, 1950 in the Fredonia United Methodist Church and who died on March 12, 2012, two sons Chad A. Smith who died September 15, 1995 & Kimberly D. Smith who died May 27, 2025, a daughter Lynda L. Pleszewski who died March 3, 2009, four brothers Perry, Bruce "Joe", Dale & Jack White and a sister Cora VanArsdale Closson.

Friends are welcome to call at Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Wednesday, September 10th, from 4-7 PM. Private Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Burnham Hollow Cemetery, Town of Arkwright.
