Beverly Jo Summers, a cherished member of her community and a beloved family matriarch, passed away on February 6, 2025, in Atlanta, GA, at the age of 65. Born on November 17, 1959, in Lilburn, GA, Beverly lived a life marked by kindness, resilience, and an unwavering love for her family.
As a dedicated supervisor with Jefferson Blanking, Beverly balanced her professional responsibilities with her significant role as a mother and grandmother. She took immense pride in her work, always striving for excellence and inspiring those around her.
A devoted member of the Crossroads Worship Center Church of God, Beverly found joy and solace in her faith. Her warm spirit and caring nature extended well beyond her immediate circle, touching the lives of friends and congregants alike. Beverly had a passion for fishing, often finding tranquility by the water, and she embraced every opportunity to create lasting memories with her grandchildren, who were the lights of her life.
Beverly’s legacy is carried on by her loving daughters, Beth Summers and Brittany (Clint) Westmoreland, and her son, Christopher Summers. Her bond with her sisters, Jennifer Cowart and Brenda Picard, was built on shared experiences and deep affection. Beverly also had the joy of being a grandmother to seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who brought her immense happiness.
She is predeceased by her father, Garland Dickens, her mother, Jo Ellen Gravitt Cowart, as well as her siblings Amanda J. Parks, Sharon Dickens, Steve Dickens, and Dwayne Dickens. Their memories and the love they shared will always hold a special place in the hearts of those who survive her.
Visitation for Beverly will take place on February 15, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM, both held at Crossroads Worship Center Church of God, located at 365 U.S. 441, Commerce, GA 30529.
Beverly Jo Summers will be remembered for her genuine warmth, loving spirit, and dedication to her family. She leaves behind a profound legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
