Beverly Joan Bashlor Taylor received her precious wings in heaven on January 26, 2026 when she passed away in Ridgeland, SC.
Born in Savannah, GA on March 14, 1951, Beverly was 74 years old. She was the daughter of Ralph M. Bashlor, Sr. and Gencie Strickland Turner. Beverly was a beautiful woman and was proud to be a debutante in the early 1960’s in Savannah, GA. Beverly had many passions in life: catering, gardening and hospitality were her favorites.
Beverly felt a deep desire to bake and cook, especially making sure that those in need had homemade cakes and cookies, along with meals in church food baskets and wherever else they were needed.
She is survived by her daughter Gencie Eileen Gilliamsen (GiGi); her four grandchildren, John Lee, Tiffany, Gatlin and Jake; Grandson-in-law RJ; and her two great grandchildren, Jayden and Arianna. Beverly is also survived by one brother and five sisters as well as many nieces and nephews.
As spring was Beverly’s favorite time of year, her memorial service will be held then, when the flowers are blooming (date to be announced later) at Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, GA.
