Beverly "Bev" J. Tetting of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, age 84 was called home on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. Her children were by her side when she was reunited with her dear and loyal husband of 60 years, Ron Tetting. Dedicated and proud Mom of Dr. Gregg (Kelly) Tetting and Amy (Scott) Burback. Loving and attentive Grandma to granddaughter Jordan and grandsons, Alex (Amy), Allen-Michael, and Jack. Preceded in death by her husband Ron Tetting and Parents Ed and Evelyn (nee Rakosnik) Novak.
Bev created a full and joy-filled life out of the simplest pleasures of our world. A well-kept and orderly home for her family, home cooked meals, welcoming her children home after school, baking, sewing, knitting, cross-stitching and gardening. Holidays were marked by just the right amount of tradition, fun, togetherness, and décor. A "mom" and later "grandma" to kids who lived, grew-up, and moved from her beloved neighborhood. She helped care for her parents in their later years, showing us how to care for our parents.
While she retired from her first chosen profession of medical technologist in 1967 with the arrival of her first child, she went on to dedicate 30 years to teaching Sunday school at her church of 50 years. She would knit mittens, hats, and blankets to comfort children all over Milwaukee and the world. She modeled simplicity and humor in facing the highs and lows of a well-lived life. She was spunky and spicy and had a resolute approach to carry on. She would comfort us with tea and toast. We will miss her presence in our daily lives but rejoice in the truth that she and the love of her life are together. We anticipate with great joy when we will meet again.
Services to be held at a later date.
"Jesus said, Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
Matthew 19:14
