Beverly Jean Teuscher

Beverly J. Teuscher passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025, at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson. Born, July 10, 1936, in Omaha, Nebraska, she was one of 14 children born to Donald and Marie Ellis. Beverly spent most of her early life in Oakdale, attending elementary and high school there. She graduated from Oakdale High School in 1954. Later that year she married John Teuscher before moving to Tracy, Hayward, and Newark, where they raised their children. Beverly worked in food service for 30 years with the Newark Unified School District.

Beverly leaves behind her three children, Michael Teuscher (Marie) of Fremont, Diane Byers (Adrian) of Chula Vista, and Gina Kirby (Paul) of Manteca, eight grandchildren, Kristen Teuscher, Kyle Simon (Kristen Itahara), Matthew Teuscher (Roselyn) Danielle Sage (Jason), Timothy Teuscher (Mariah), Morgan Byers, Jennifer Glasgow (Jacob), Jamie Dettloff (Bryce), five great-grandchildren, Raiden, May, Chloe, Saxon, and Connor. She is also survived by her sisters, Ginny, Tootie, Boonie, and Poogie, many nieces, nephews, and her beloved dog, Bootsie. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, John, her parents Donald and Marie, and siblings, Midge, Pearl, Lucille, Mickey, Betty, Arlene, Sonny, Scoopy, and Peggy. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Beverly enjoyed monthly lunches with her high school girl friends, San Francisco Giants baseball, watching her children and grandchildren play youth sports, and working in her yard. Any leaf that fell in her yard would not be there for long!

We would like to thank Sandra, and the other wonderful neighbors that kept an eye on mom for us. Many thanks also to the staff at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House for the competent and compassionate care they provided our mother in her final days.

Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, Manteca, CA 95337, followed by a Graveside service at Lakewood Memorial Park, 900 Santa Fe Ave., Hughson, CA 95326. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to the Alexander Cohen Hospice House operated by Community Hospice.
