Mary Ann Starich

Mary Ann, of Milwaukee and Brookfield, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully September 20, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 25, 1931, and throughout her 94 years, she lived a life marked by love, devotion, and a deep sense of joy.

Mary Ann was the beloved wife of the late Richard R. Starich and mother of Michael, Rick, Patrick, Tommie Marie, Peter, and Mary. Grandmother to Cynthia, Joanie and Michelle Starich, Olivia and Bartholomew Starich, Samantha Frei, Amanda Starich, Brianna and Alissa Christianson. Great Grandmother to Analise and Wesley Frei. She poured her heart into raising her family and was the cornerstone of countless cherished traditions and memories.

A dedicated educator for 26 years, Mary Ann taught in the Milwaukee Public School system, shaping the lives of countless students until her retirement in 1990.

She was especially proud of her Irish heritage and had a lifelong passion for all things Ireland. The highlight of her travels came in 1985, when she fulfilled a dream of visiting Ireland, a journey she fondly recalled for the rest of her life

Mary Ann will be remembered for her warmth, her wit, and the way she made others feel welcome and cared for. Her family, friends, and former students will carry her memory in their hearts always. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure. She will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1875 N. Calhoun Road, Brookfield, WI 53005 from 2:00 PM until time of the Funeral Service at 4:00 PM.
