Bhagiradhi Dontamsetti

Bhagiradhi Dontamsetti passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025 at the age of 82 years in Cranbury, NJ.

Bhagiradhi was the firstborn daughter of Chinamayalingam and Annapoorna Nalla. She was born many years after their marriage and after a pilgrimage to Badrinath in India.

Bhagiradhi was loved by one and all. She was a loving and kind daughter, daughter-in-law, and a loyal and dutiful wife. She supported her beloved husband, Sri Somasekhar Dontamsetti, in all his charitable causes and provided wholesome meals to thousands of guests visiting her home. The kitchen was her turf, and cooking and organizing were her forte. She never complained about not having enough funds, or riches, or vacations, or other materialistic desires. She was content in finding happiness with her family and doing her duty.

Bhagiradhi was widowed very young, at the age of 42, and thereafter came to live with her sons and their families in the US. She loved watching all kinds of movies regardless of the language and appreciated the art form, even without the subtitles. She could remember every dear one's phone number and never failed to call them on their birthdays. She spent her last years thinking about God.

Bhagiradhi Domasetti is survived by her children, Arjun, Mahesh, and Sarada, daughters-in-law and Son-in-law: Sangeeta, Vanishree, Ravi Midathala, nephews Mahidhar, Vijay Akasapu, nieces: Manju, Priya Sangameswaran, co-Sister: Lakshmi Bhaskari, grandchildren Sakshi, Swati, Aashish, Akash, Mihir, grandchildren-in-laws Rahul Gunturi, Priyanka Dalal and her Great-grandson Avinav Gunturi.

Funeral services for Bhagiradhi Dontamsetti will take place Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 11am-1pm at Holy Cross Burial Park & MSLM (Crematory). Holy Cross Crematory is located at 840 Cranbury South River Road in East Brunswick, NJ.
