Bill Frank Anderson, age 95, of Amarillo, died Friday, February 7, 2025 in Amarillo. He was born June 24, 1929 in Frederick, Oklahoma to Frank and Gladys (McAuley) Anderson. He married Betty Roberts in Moberly, Missouri on August 11, 1953.
Bill was a teacher for many years and loved his job. His "teaching" included being the Sr. class sponsor, taking his students on their senior trips and organizing graduation. Bill also enjoyed reading. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Earth, and then at First Baptist Church in Amarillo. Bill was very involved in his church, and served as a Deacon. He loved being with his dogs, Tillie, Sally and Muffy. He is preceded in death by his wife, of over 68 years, Betty and his parents.
Bill is survived by his son, Kevin Anderson and his wife, Judy of Alto, New Mexico; his daughter, Kathleen Anderson of Amarillo, Texas; and his two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be sent to First Baptist Church in Earth, PO Box 690, Earth, Texas, 79031.

I graduated in 1982, Mr. A was my English teacher and my senior sponsor, he was the best and because of him having us do book reports and then getting up in front of the class, now I´m very outspoken, I just saw that he passed and it makes me sad

Mr. A, aka Sunshine was one of my two favorite teachers at Springlake-Earth. He gave me my love for writing. He was also my senior sponsor. After teaching 22 years at Springlake-Earth I still thought of him every time I walked by his classroom. He was a great teacher
