William K. “Bill” Baker Sr. age 79 of Loudon, departed this earthly life to be with his Heavenly Lord on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. Bill was born on October 3, 1945 in Greenwood, S.C. His family is from Piedmont, S.C. area. Bill lived in S.C., Trenton, N.J., and Loudon, TN. He was married for 60 years to his blessed wife Patricia. Bill was saved and attended First Baptist Church of Lenoir City.
Bill retired after over 40 years with Staley/Tate and Lyle as Traffic Manager. He also served for years as a volunteer visitor for FBLC and Sweetwater Amedisys Health Care.
He was preceded in death by mother, Dolly Baker and husband Herbert Baker; father, Carl Bell, and twin brother, Bert Baker. He is survived by his wife and two sons, Bill Jr and wife Shawn of Lenoir City and John and wife Susan of Loudon; five grandchildren, Jessica Massey (Lucas), Chris Baker (Karilee), Ashley Olsen (Ian), Justin Baker, Samantha Shelton (Shane); eight great-grandchildren, Lilah Massey, Mason Krause, Lakin Shelton, Sophia Massey, Raiden Olsen, Alice Baker, Willow Baker, and Sadie Baker, sister-in-law Terri Baker, special sister-in-law, Dawn Brabson, several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 21, 2025 from 5-7pm at Loudon Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow with Pastor Dick Demerchant officiating. Graveside service will be Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 11am at Lakeview Cemetery.
