FUNERAL HOME

Bill Brinks Obituary

Bill passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sept. 2, 2025.

He was born on Sept. 30, 1932, in South Haven, Mich., the 10th of 13 children born to Harm and Clara Brinks.

His formative years were spent working, learning and enjoying life on the small family farm located on "Brinks Road."

On Oct. 27, 1951, he married Gladys Faux and together they have shared 73 years of marriage and four children.

Bill was a hard-working person always ready to lend a helping hand; he was the first one there and the last one to go home.

After growing up with such a large family he learned to be very resourceful and had the ability to build or fix just about anything. This helped shape his future for working in maintenance at National Motors where he worked for many years finally retiring from Holland Hitch.

Throughout his adult life Bill was also a partner with his brother in the family business of Brinks Brothers & Son Well Drilling. This was his true passion and he continued working in the business well into his retirement years.

Bill is survived by his wife Gladys and children Edward Brinks, Marc (Diane) Brinks, Gary (Leslie) Brinks and Patti Brinks, 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded by his parents, 12 brothers and sisters and a very special grandson.

A visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2025 at the Filbrandt Chapel 1076 S. Bailey Ave South Haven, Michigan.
