Bill William Coult, age 96, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025, in Murray, Utah. Bill was born on October 30, 1928, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Ivory J. Coult and Mary Williams Coult.

On September 5, 1947, Bill married the love of his life, Betty J. Beeny. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple, sealing a lifelong bond that would be the foundation of a large and loving family. Together, they welcomed nine children into their home and, after the sudden passing of their daughter Pat, lovingly raised her three young daughters as their own. In total, Bill and Betty guided and nurtured twelve children, teaching them the values of love, kindness, responsibility, and the importance of family.

Bill proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II, carrying with him a deep sense of duty and honor throughout his life. He worked as a truck driver and in a lumber warehouse, embodying the virtues of hard work and dedication. A man of many talents, Bill had a passion for woodworking and delighted in teaching his grandchildren the craft. He also had a lifelong love of horses, farm animals, and gathering with family and friends—a true testament to the simple joys that brought him happiness.

Bill is survived by eight of the twelve children he raised: Annette (Gary) of Topock, Arizona; Robyn (Dennis) of Livingston, Texas; Art (Rosie) of Manti, Utah; Judy (Rick) of Murray, Utah; Joe of Ogden, Utah; Tracie (Jeff) of Murray, Utah; Becky of Murray, Utah; and Shannon (Trace) of Sauk Rapids, Minnesota. He is also survived by his brother, Jim Coult, along with 20 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, each of whom carry forward his legacy of love and strength.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Betty, his parents, daughters Pat, Janice, and Kathy, son Dan, granddaughters MaLinda and JoJo, and several cherished siblings.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to Superior Hospice for their compassionate care and support during Bill’s final days.

Funeral for Bill will take place on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary on 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan with a viewing one-hour prior.
