Bill Cromwell Obituary
The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, March 8, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 P.M, officiated by Rev. Fate Green. A graveside service will take place at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Tuckaleechee United Methodist Church Cemetery in Townsend.
Bill Tolbert Cromwell of Maryville, born October 29, 1934, passed away in the early morning hours of March 5 surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Adams Cromwell. Bill is survived by his children, Billy Cromwell, Pat Godfrey, Pam (Tim) Kitts, and stepdaughter Becky Johnson; grandchildren Kelsey (Nick) Nelson, Mitchell (Megan) Evans, Nick (Allie) Evans, Jenna Johnson, and Aaron (Kelli) Johnson; and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, special friends Bill Godfrey, Johnny Webb, Ralph Adams, Glen Myers, and Duncan Davidson. Bill was an Army Veteran and retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company of America. He was a long time member of Friendly Hill Baptist Church in Townsend, TN. He loved milkshakes, Volkswagens, Lady Vol basketball, and eating at Golden Corral.
