Obituary of Bill Davis
William Earl (Bill) Davis, Sr age 74 of LaBelle, Florida passed away in Brooksville, Florida on November 29, 2023, with his daughter and her husband by his side.
Bill was born in Warren, Ohio on October 15, 1949, to the late Thomas and the late Beatrice Horton Davis. Bill proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He obtained the rank of Specialist 4 Class before being honorably discharged. He was a long-time member of the American Legion Post #130, serving as the post commander for 9 years and working with the Honor Guard to provide military rites for the fallen soldiers; he was also a member of the VFW Post #10100 for many years. Bill was very instrumental in the creation of the LaBelle Veterans Park.
He worked in the maintenance department for Henry County for many years. Bill was a caring man who would give the shirt of his back if he thought you needed it or if it would help you. Bill was one of a kind in the greatest of ways. He will be deeply missed.
Bill leaves fond memories with daughter, Vicki Boyle and her husband Michael and his granddaughter Destini in LaBelle, Florida. His other children include, Billy Kyser, Yvonne Todaro, along with many other grandchildren. Bill enjoyed talking with his sister Karen several times a day, He would always get that smile when her name came across his phone. His other sisters are Brenda Tempter, Pamela Ballcock, Cindy Gotham.
Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife; Diane J. Davis on February 28. 2016, his brothers; Mark Smith, Rodney Smith, Ronnie Smith, Craig Smith and Harold Smith.
