William F. Kipp
William F. Kipp, 78, of Lakeville, Massachusetts, affectionately known as Bill to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025 in Taunton MA, after an extended period of declining health. Bill's life was a testament to the enduring power of strength, love, and devotion, most especially to his beloved wife of 53 years, Deborah (Daigle) Kipp. Born May 14, 1946 in Sayre, PA, and raised in Bradford County, he was a son to the late Andrew H. and Eliza (Cowell) Kipp.
A proud veteran, Bill served his country with honor in the US Army during the Vietnam War as Sargent with the 7th Armored Squadron of the 1st Air Calvary. As a Licensed Electrician/Working Foreman, Bill's career of 27 years with National Grid was marked with his unwavering work ethic and the respect he earned from colleagues and friends alike. Upon his retirement, he left behind a legacy of committed excellence and integrity.
Those who knew Bill would describe him as loving, giving, and thoughtful. His actions spoke volumes as he devoted much of his time to assisting others, be it with house repairs, car repairs, and alike. He was a lover of the outdoors, nature walks with his wife along with bird watching became cherished rituals. He enjoyed attending car shows, rummaging through yard sales, and tinkering/repairing cars and machinery. His life was indeed a success, measured not in accolades, but in the love and kindness he showed others.
Along with his wife, he leaves his children and grandchildren: son William (Willy) F Kipp Jr. and his wife Grace and their children Lauren and Jacob; daughter Rebecca Kipp and her children Kaya, Ashlynn, and Gregory; a brother Forrest (Frosty) Kipp and his wife Darlene, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was also brother to the late Lawrence (Larry) Kipp, Judith O'Donnell, Diane Kelly, and Lucille (Kipp) Henry.
Family and friends are welcomed to attend a period of visitation on Friday, April 25th from 12-1 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main Street, Nichols. A service to celebrate his life will follow at 1 pm. Bill will be laid to rest in the hills of Pennsylvania along side his parents and sister Lucille in the Bumpville Cemetery. Bill's presence shall be deeply missed, yet the memories he leaves behind will forever be cherished.
