William 'Bill' Monroe, 63, of Blue River died on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Gundersen Hospital in Boscobel. He was born on March 20, 1962, in Boscobel the son of Dalfred and Mary Lou (Mueller) Monroe. Bill graduated from Boscobel High School in 1980. On September 22, 1984, he was united in marriage to Sara Conner at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Muscoda. Bill enjoyed deer hunting, both gun and archery, hunting morel mushrooms, and gardening. He was an avid fan of the Wisconsin Badgers and the Green Bay Packers.
Bill is survived by his wife Sara;
Mother: Mary Lou Nicholson of Spring Green;
Step-father: Philip Nicholson of Prairie du Chien;
Sisters: Wilma Monroe of Muscoda,
Wanda (Scott) Toberman of Lawler, IA,
Wendy (Rich) Carlson of Prairie du Chien,
Virginia Teynor of Prairie du Chien,
Berneda Monroe of Prairie du Chien;
In-laws: David (Arlene) Conner of Blue River,
Karen Conner of Columbus,
Mary Ann (Mike) Lawton of La Farge,
Kathy (Kurt) Orlikowski of Plover,
Dan Conner of Avoca;
Dogs: Buster and Molly;
Many special nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his father Dalfred Monroe and sister-in-law Valarie Conner.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Pratt Funeral Home, Muscoda. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at the Pratt Funeral Home, Muscoda from 1:00 PM until the time of the service at 3:00 PM. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements.
