Bill was my colleague and friend at Missouri Southern, his "retirement" job. Bill always made me smile and laugh even when he was giving me a hard time. Oh Bill! He never forgot to ask me how my mother was and his caring was very special to me. It was clear that he loved his dear wife Deb and all who crossed his path. He was truly one of a kind in the best possible way. Hey Bill, don´t Rest In Peace. Instead, have a Grand Time in your new home. We all hope to see you again.

I always appreciated Bill´s ability to converse with anyone anywhere anytime! At times he even prepared for parties or other gatherings by doing research to be sure he was able to converse on topics of concern to those who would be in attendance, with the hope of them feeling more comfortable and cared about. I really liked that about Bill.

Also, he really loved my sister. And she loved him. Such a blessing!

Bill was a great friend to my dad, Jack Gibson, and a giant teddy bear to me. They met at Texas Tech and taught together at UT Arlington. Many times I found the two of them in the basement of the Student Union Building, listening to some obscure jazz, arguing about its merits and basically having a ball. My dad passed in 2015. I just know that he was waiting for Bill at the pearly gates, holding some jazz album that nobody's ever heard of and saying, "Bill, you gotta hear this!". And I know they're having a ball! Rest in peace.

Uncle Bill was a unique and wonderful person. I am so sorry that he has died. The world will be a more boring place without him.

Mr. Snodgrass was my teacher, my mentor, and my friend. He was generous to a fault. He took time to go to the hospital and visit on the day my daughter was born. He was one of the first to hold her. His passion for music and teaching inspired me to follow the same path. He was a unique soul. We will miss him.

Bill has been and always will be forever sketched in my memories. He provided the greatest challenges and opportunities for me to grow professionally as a musician that I´ve continued to utilize throughout my life and continue to do at 63! One of our UTA album covers is vividly in my home studio that reminds me to prepare and produce a professional product. I´ve found myself laughing inside on thoughts of, "No lame tracks!" as if Bill was listening as I gaze at the album cover forever displayed in the session room. Thank you Bill for the tuff love to influence and make the best me possible as an instructor and performer.

Debbie and family, I was saddened to hear of the loss of Bill. He was a dear friend. Debbie, I know he adored you. Since leaving Southern, one of the things I missed most was my talks with Bill, in my office, even though we were usually of opposite sides of opinion. He enjoyed a good argument. He will be missed. May our God of all peace and comfort hold you in His loving arms as you mourn this tremendous loss. Sending my love and prayers.
