Bill W. Stepp, 79 of Springdale passed away Monday, February 26, 2024 at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville. He was born March 14, 1944 in Springdale to Floyd Stepp and Virgie Brasel Stepp.
Bill worked as a Springdale Police Officer from 1974-2011. He was known as "Wild Cherokee Bill" and "Legend". He loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time with them. He loved to sit on the front porch. He also enjoyed going camping, hunting and the casino.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jolene Stepp, who he called "Sweetheart"; seven brothers, Dave, Johnny, Bobby, Pat, Jim, Virgil and Ollen.
Survivors include four children, Kimberly Main (Jack), Waylon Stepp (Shawn), Sheena Oldenburgh (Kevin) and Amber Brannon (Jason); three sisters, Ruby Lawson, Patsy Jones (Royce) and Brenda Dowell; ten grandchildren, Meloni Smith, Shane Smith, Katelyn Oldenburgh, Austin Oldenburgh, Seth Frazier, Zoe Frazier, Alisha Collins (Dalton), Destiny Stepp, Brittany Stepp and William Jared Stepp; and eight great-grandchildren, Dasha, Kelsey, Eli, Kadence, Nash, Olivia, Grayson, Heidi Lee and Leah.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 11am at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale with Pastor David Dodson officiating. Burial will follow in White Oak Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jack Main, Kevin Oldenburgh, Jason Brannon, Seth Frazier, Austin Oldenburgh and Chuck Clark.
