Billy Frank Grigg

Billy Frank Grigg, 82 of Springdale, AR was greeted at Heaven's gate by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 13, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on January 2, 1944 in Little Field, TX to Houston & Thelma Grigg. Bill graduated from Springdale High School in 1962. In 1966, he was drafted by the Army and served his country in the Vietnam war. His honors included the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Vietnam Campaign Medal, with an Honorable Discharge in 1972.

Bill was a devoted husband to his loving wife of 59 years, Mattie Grigg. A father of 57 years who cherished his daughter Melissa. He was the perfect proud "Pa" to Deven & Danielle for 33 years. He was honorary "Daddy Bill" to many of Melissa's best friends. Just as much, was his love for his nieces and nephews, extended family and close friends.

Bill's love of Bluegrass music was known by all of those close to him. He and Mattie would often travel to other states to enjoy the pure, wholesome sound of their favorite gospel bluegrass groups. With Melissa as their chauffeur, they were always assured a front row seat to see their favorite group, The Gaithers.

Bill and Mattie have attended Faith Baptist Church in Elm Springs for the past 4 years. Prior to that, they attended Lakeview Baptist Church for several years. While in Louisiana, they attended Occupy #1 Baptist Church where Bill served as deacon for many years. Bill loved his church families and always looked forward to Sundays in his Fathers house. Traditionally, lunch would always follow with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Mattie Grigg, daughter Melissa Reagan and husband Dean. Grandson Deven Goddard and wife Jordyn and granddaughter Danielle Reagan. He is also survived by his sisters Verda Winchel, Joyce Glenn, Barbara LaRue and husband Gary. He also leaves behind a host of his beloved family in Louisiana.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale, Arkansas. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church in Springdale, Arkansas, with a burial to follow at Elm Springs Cemetery.

The Grigg/Reagan/Goddard family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the medical team at Northwest Medical Center for their extensive compassionate care in the days preceding his eternal homecoming.
