Bill George Tripp, 79, of Burt, died on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Westview Care Center in Britt. Funeral arrangements are pending at this time.
William George Tripp was born September 1, 1946, in Caroll, to Everett and Nelly (Gardner) Tripp. Bill graduated from Algona High School with the class of 1965.
Following graduation, Bill volunteered with the United States Army, where he faithfully served his country for four years. He was honorably discharged in September 1968. Upon returning home Bill continued his life of service, working as a government employee for 25 years.
Bill enjoyed woodworking and took great pride in his craftsmanship. His creations reflected his patience, skill, and attention to detail.
Bill died October 9, 2025, at Westview Care Center in Britt. He was 79.
He is survived by his sons, Mark Tripp and James (Mary) Tripp, both of North Carolina; three grandchildren, Thor, Freya, and Gretel; his niece, Sandy (Amber) Tripp and her children Lakin, Evan, Makayla, and Marlow.
Preceding him in death are his parents; his sister Judy; and his brothers David and Marv.
Bill will be remembered for his quiet strength, dedication to his work, and the love he had for his family.
