Ms. Billa Cole Bartlett, age 50, of Montana, formerly of this area, died on Monday, January 12, 2026, in Montana.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at two o’clock pm in the McRae Chapel with Bro. Lonnie Craft officiating. Interment will follow in the Victory Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday evening, January 21, 2026, from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home.
Billa Loved her life in Montana with the love of her life, James Bramlett. They traveled and had many wonderful adventures. Billa was an inspiration to others and a great friend. Mom and Billa had a bond so sweet. They overcame so many obstacles together. Mom holds all of this forever in her heart! Mom and Billa never gave up on her getting better. Mom stayed there through it all.
Ms. Bartlett is survived by her Life Partner: James Bramlett of Montana, Mother: Janice Mostella Autwell of Boaz, Brothers: Chris & Mary Meeks of Langston and Jay Cole of Gadsden, Sisters: Kelli & Kevin Patterson of Albertville, Constance Cole McWhorter and Angela Cole Mewbourn all of Gadsden. Billa was “Auntie Billa” to all of the kids especially her nieces and nephews: Danielle (Jacob) Hollingsworth, Ella & Ruthie, Nate Mahan, Brandon Meeks (Ellen), Caleb Brown (Lauren) Grayson & Gavin, Chase Brown (Ali), Everlee & Ellyson. Her special Uncles and Aunts: Mike & Dale Mostella, Mark & Amy Hopper, and Angela & Troy Blair, Special friends: Exa Skinner and Laura Haacke, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and all her Goodwill Work Family. She was preceded in death by her Memaw/best friend: Audrey Cole Bartlett.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Hollingsworth, Chris Meeks, Mike Mostella, Mark Hopper, Chase Brown and Caleb Brown.
