Billie Cora Boustead

Billie Cora Boustead passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026. She was born on

September 28, 1937 in Peter's Hollow in Jackson County, Tennessee in her family's log

cabin.

Billie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend who

found her greatest joy in caring for her family and serving others. She was active in her

community and known for her generous heart and willingness to help wherever needed.

She was a longtime member of College Church of Christ and served at His House for

many years. Billie enjoyed playing golf and was a talented seamstress and quilter,

creating beautiful pieces that reflected her patience, creativity, and love.

She is survived by her four children: Pam Dorsey (Ken Dorsey) of Monroe, Louisiana;

Cyndi Denney (Richard Denney) of Searcy, Arkansas; Michael Boustead (David

Francis) of Roswell, Georgia; and Sarah Boustead of Roswell, Georgia.

Billie was blessed with eight grandchildren: Jonathan Dorsey (Shanneil White) of

Jonesboro, Arkansas; Amanda Creekbaum (Brandon Creekbaum) of Monroe,

Louisiana; Katelyn Denney of Searcy, Arkansas; Karleigh Halliburton (Harley

Halliburton) of Searcy, Arkansas; Ashlyn Oats of Atlanta, Georgia; Nicholas Oats of St.

Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; Luke Oats of Roswell, Georgia; and Ty Oats of Roswell,

Georgia. She also leaves behind two great-grandchildren, Thomas Halliburton and

Peter Halliburton, both of Searcy, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John G. "Jack" Boustead and her parents,

Odus and Martha Chaffin; her brother Oscar Chaffin; and her sisters, Edith Tucker and

Maryetta Jones, and grandson Landon Thomas Denney.

Billie married the love of her life, Jack Boustead, on June 22, 1957, in Detroit, Michigan.

Though they grew up near one another in Detroit, they did not meet until they were both

attending David Lipscomb College in Nashville, Tennessee. Together they shared 58

years of marriage, building a life rooted in love, faith, and family.

Billie will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026, from 2:00pm - 4:00pm, at Powell Funeral Home in Searcy. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 10:00am, at Powell Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
