Billie Hill Huerta, 58, of Goldsboro passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022.
Billie was born on May 26, 1964, in Wayne County to Sandra King Hill and William Hill. She was a graduate from Eastern Wayne High School in 1982. Billie was a loving mother, daughter, sister, niece, nana, and friend. Anyone who ever had the pleasure of crossing paths with Billie knew she never met a stranger, would never forget a name, and treated everyone she met with love and the utmost respect. With Billie's infectious smile and piercing blue eyes, she could always brighten any room or bring light to anyone's day with ease.
Billie spent many years in food service and devoted her time by providing proficient services while engaging with local patrons. She dedicated over 20 years at the Triangle Restaurant, spent many years at Wilber's BBQ, opened her own restaurant, and in recent years she worked at Ashley's Diner. Billie had a close connection to all of Wayne County's local patrons and everyone that had the pleasure of meeting her would immediately fall in love and know to "ask for Billie" when they returned.
In addition to her many years in the food service industry, Billie was always up for an adventure and took joy in a variety of ventures. Billie's adventures spanned from riding and owning horses to cross-country motorcycle journeys. However, anyone that knew her knew she loved her puppies Callie and Bella as well as spending time at the beach and any opportunities to have a family gathering; especially gatherings in her home so she could cook a feast and take care of everyone.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Sunday, October 23, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 24, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Princeton.
Billie was preceded in death by her Grandmother, Pauline Bundy, and best friends, Jackie and Terri.
Billie is survived by her sons, Brandyn Espinoza, Kyle Scott and wife Katie; three granddaughters, Devyn and Adalyn Scott, and Hailey Werkmeister; her mother Sandra and father William; her brother John Hill; her niece Summer Hollowell and family, along with many other close aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The family would like to give thanks and recognition to Billie's devoted Uncle and Aunt, Thomas and Carolyn Evans for their support, committed relationship, and love provided over many years; to the Person family that has been like a second family to Billie; and to Brandyn's friend Eddie for his support and assistance over the last few months. Special acknowledgement and appreciation to Sandra, Billie's mother, for her dedication, devotion, prayers, and consistent care for her daughter over the last few years.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Online condolences may be expressed at www.seymourfunerlahome.com.
