Billie S. Sollars, 90, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2024.
She was born October 13, 1934 to Homer E. and Vivian V. (Smith) Winemiller in Barnard, Missouri.
Billie married Marvin A. Sollars on July 17, 1955.
After two years of nursing training, she left in lieu of marriage. She held various other jobs and was a foster parent alongside parenting her 5 children. A pillar of strength and faith, Billie was involved in the Woodson Chapel Christian Church, where she guided many through her leadership in bible study. Her commitment to her faith extended into the broader community as she was a leader in the Faith in Action meetings at the North Town Community Center. Billie also found joy in frequenting garage sales.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Marvin Sollars; children, Dana Rene Sollars, Gregory Sollars and Shawn Sollars; and brother, Jon Winemiller.
